Relaxation yoga seminars

Dental practitioners are particularly prone to upper body injury due to the nature of their work. As many as 70% of dentists surveyed report musculo- skeletal pain in the back, neck, shoulders, and arms and Eye Strain or Eye Stress resulting in regular headache. Surveys and studies from as far back as 1945 consistently find that the most common hazards in dentistry are Eye Strain, back pain, muscle aches and neck pain.

This problem can be solved at two levels

• Maintaining correct posture with the help of various tools such as a binocular loupe or telescope.
• relieving back and eye strain through regular exercises

Both levels are complementary and together can enhance your professional life.

ACTS Medical under STAC Education Series developed three special yoga programs.

2. Yoga for medical surgeons
3. yoga for hygienists

these are 20 minutes relaxation exercises which can be performed daily at your clinic/work place.
